April 8th, 2009 - Improvements to LupineAhhh, Spring is here. It was a long winter, but soon we'll be back up at Pemaquid Beach. The water gets turned on May 1st and the rental season should be in full swing by Memorial Day. We're going to head up to New Harbor next week to spend a couple of days working on Lupine. The bedrooms need some sprucing up. Our plan is to remove the old wallpaper, spackle and repaint the walls. Then we'll rip up the linoleum floor and reveal the beautiful wide pines that are underneath. We'll probably do one room at a time just in case we run out of time. Also, Jim Dance is going to be putting in a new door in the master bedroom that goes out onto the deck. The old wood door is falling apart. We'll get a nice full view door, hopefully with a build in shade so that the light can be filtered out when people are sleeping. Also, we're planning on installing a glass shower door in the downstairs bathroom. I think it will look so much nicer and will prevent any water issues that arise from the shower curtain not being tucked in. We'll try to post photos of our progress next week. Posted by Laura
