September 30th, 2008 - House Sold!Jeremy and I drove up to Waldoboro yesterday for the West Wing closing. We received an offer on September 1st. The last month has gone very smoothly. The negotiations, the inspection, the walk-thru, everything. The closing yesterday was no exception. We are very excited to have new neighbors. I haven't met them yet, since they did not attend the closing, but will hopefully meet them this weekend. But even though I haven't met them, I like them already. Their reasonableness throughout the last month has already proven they will be great neighbors. Due to the timing of the closing, and the hours of our daycare, we had to bring the kids to the closing. We were going to stop at Moody's Diner for a celebratory meal after the closing, but the kids weren't on their best behavior during the closing and that was to be their reward. So we didn't go to Moody's. However, after driving for a while, their behavior improved greatly, so we stopped to celebrate at The Montsweag Roadhouse. It turned out to be much more fitting, since that's where we went the first time Dan came up to view the project and decide if he wanted in. The circle is complete, so to speak. Next up, our Thank You Palooza this weekend.
