August 2nd - 4th, 2008 - Home Renovation Project CompleteWe are finally done! We spent the last weekend of our home renovation project staging Equinox for its first rental next weekend. It turned out beautifully. The new kitchen looks amazing.
Jeremy and I and the kids stayed in Equinox on Saturday night to finish up. The bedrooms feel really cosy and warm. The bathroom feels so clean and new that it was really nice to stay there. I think our tenants will be very happy. 
Jeremy stayed over on Sunday night so he could let Colby & Gale in to hook up the gas for the fireplace. He said it put out a lot of heat and shouldn't have any trouble heating the place on those cooler fall nights. 
He also was able to clean out the (shared) garage. We had kept all of the furniture in there during renovations, and we found that we didn't want to put it all back in. So he took his trailer ("Pully") to the dump. The garage looks almost empty now. 
So, that's it. We're done. It feels weird to be done after more than 5 months of weekends up at Pemaquid. The house that we live in full time is crying out for some attention, so I guess we'll manage to keep busy while we have renters. I'll try to get a page up soon with before and after pictures.
