March 22nd, 2008 - Shingle Removal Continues
Jeremy and I were on our own this weekend. I'm assuming it was a combination of it being Easter weekend, and 30 degrees outside. We headed up early and tackled shingle removal and clapboard removal all day. Here's where we left off on Tuesday:
Our goal for the day was to finish the shingle removal on the entire back side of the building. Here's where we were by the time we stopped for lunch:
We plugged along until our babysitters (Jeremy's parents) arrived to drop the kids off around 3 PM.
We accomplished our goal of getting all the shingles removed from the back side of the house. It even involved Jeremy climbing onto the roof to get a peak of shingles removed. He said he had a good view of the ocean at the end of the road from up there.
Here are the pictures at the end of the day. All the shingles are off, except for a small piece that we couldn't get to, because the grass where the ladder needed to sit was covered in ice.
We'll be back on Saturday (March 29th) to continue work on the shingle removal. Except now it will be clapboard removal on the front of the building. It should go a lot faster. Our next Demopalooza (III) is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th. Hope to see you there! Posted by Laura 3/25/08 5:41 PM
